No. It is used for all lenses. A full frame camera has a focal length 
multiplier of 1.0.
Other lens systems have higher values. Sometimes the focal length 
multiplier is called crop factor.

How do I figure out the best values for the other "Options?"

In general the default parameters should be good enough. If your lines are 
short and therefore are not detected, you can decrease the minimum line 
length.
