It is mentioned in the FAQ, but only for undisabling the Fast Preview window: https://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_FAQ#Simple_user_interface_can_not_selected_.2F_OpenGL_fast_preview_window_button_is_disabled I thought this startup crash had been resolved by automatically disabling the Fast Preview window in this situation (it has been a long time since it was last reported).
