Yes. Somewhere along the road there is an optimal collection of CPs. At least 
I've found out where that point is not, or better, I've discovered one non 
functioning  procedure for how to find that optimum.

Heehee, this is why I wrote "shudder" earlier. But you are right, doesn't look 
too bad now.

Back to resizing. Or rather cropping.

Ahhh, you're right! That's the whole point of tone mapping. D'oh!

That was a new consideration to me. Local contrast also depends on global 
contrast, and these are not identical from image to image – different subjects.
I will test this.

I already do that, but without knowing that it was useful in this scenario!
When shooting the originals, I am always on vacation, and always go back to the 
forest cabin and stitch the 0EV frames to see that I didn't mess up at the 
shooting session. But I can ensure everyone that a MacBook Air is not a Hugin 
powerhouse :(
I will have to tell the wife that Bruno Postle himself told me I need a MacBook 
Pro! :P

Thanks again for all the help, always enabling me to take yet some stumbling 
steps forwards.
I should be able to shut up for several days now :P

I wonder how all you guys on this list who are not retired – how do you have 
time for this? :D:D:D
