I've committed a workaround to Catalyst-Controller-HTML-FormFu (svn
-r1671) to stop the error.
I've also opened an RT bug against YAML::XS to see if it can be fixed.
Thanks! Changing the line to "retain_default: 1" does work too as a
workaround, now that you found the root cause.
