Hello, I'm trying to install HPLIP on Red Hat EL WS 4, have been mostly successful and managed to get the software compiled and installed. However hp-setup will not start and gives
error: CUPSEXT could not be loaded. Please check HPLIP installation. hp-check tells me that PyQt is not installed and that none of the other Python extensions can be detected. --------------------- | PYTHON EXTENSIONS | --------------------- Checking 'cupsext' CUPS extension... error: NOT FOUND OR FAILED TO LOAD! Please reinstall HPLIP and check for the proper installation of cupsext. Checking 'pcardext' Photocard extension... error: NOT FOUND OR FAILED TO LOAD! Please reinstall HPLIP and check for the proper installation of pcardext. Checking 'hpmudext' I/O extension... error: NOT FOUND OR FAILED TO LOAD! Please reinstall HPLIP and check for the proper installation of hpmudext. Checking 'scanext' SANE scanning extension... error: NOT FOUND OR FAILED TO LOAD! Please reinstall HPLIP and check for the proper installation of scanext. However I know that PyQt is actually installed. [EMAIL PROTECTED] hplip-2.7.10]$ rpm -qa | grep PyQt PyQt-devel-3.13-1 PyQt-3.13-1 How can I help HPLIP to find PyQt? Any help is greatly appreciated.
