Didn’t Valve state that they were going to punish servers using fake players
and other means of cheating to gain traffic?
I remember reading about it a year or two ago.
There are still many old servers out there that are still using fake players or
fake player counts. I thought these servers
were going to be removed from server browser or something along the line. But
they are still there and gaining traffic
every single day due to using these methods.
