I previously upgraded Hibernate ORM to Gradle 4.7, that was trivial. I'd like us to upgrade to 4.8 (now also released) so to keep going testing with JDK11 - but I got some puzzling errors with the Gradle build to remind me that this is still beyond my Gradle-fu :)
