Hi Noel, Yes this is available in Hibernate 5.2.
Have a look at http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/orm/5.2/userguide/html_single/Hibernate_User_Guide.html#caching-provider-jcache You can of course use Ehcache 3.x as the JCache implementation - for which documentation is available at http://www.ehcache.org/documentation/3.1/107.html but does not cover any hibernate specifics. And of course, it should work for any JCache provider out there.
