Sanne, I went back and tried applying this -target flag but have not had any luck with it. I applied it through the XJC2Task Ant task:
ant.xjc( destdir: "${jaxbTargetDir}", binding: hbmXjb.path, schema: hbmXsd.path, extension: 'true', target: '2.0' ) { arg line: '-Xinheritance -Xsimplify' } But it had o effect in the end.
