I'm not sure of that, OGM should just ignore it, not really generate an error. I see from the stack that the error happens because of schema creation; there's no schema in OGM, so you should set hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto=none Or leave the property unset. I'm sorry I can't try it, I've followed your instructions but still have the same error. BTW about the the dependencies for the Hibernate3 module, commons-collections is repeated and some jars don't mention the version in their name.
