+1 for giving more recognition to contributors. Not sure whether I like the idea of adding a THANKS file to the sources though.
Doing something on the web-/community site on the other hand is a great idea. Maybe something like on the Weld website - http://seamframework.org/Weld where the contributors are listed. Question is when to add/list someone? How many bugs reports do you have to create or how many lines of code do you have to contribute? Anyways, details aside I think it is a good idea. If we start with the website we can include a link to the page in the readme which I prefer to a separate file. --Hardy On Mon, 27 Jun 2011 10:40:43 +0200, Strong Liu <st...@hibernate.org> wrote: > as an open source project, we have been getting lots of help from > community, many people report bugs, suggest new features, provide > patches and so on. > we really appreciated that. > so, i'm thinking we can add a THANKS file in the root of project to > identify contributions of people. and eventually, we can create a page > on hibernate.org that lists all hibernate contributors. > > what do you think? > > ----------- > Strong Liu <st...@hibernate.org> > http://hibernate.org > http://github.com/stliu > > _______________________________________________ > hibernate-dev mailing list > hibernate-dev@lists.jboss.org > https://lists.jboss.org/mailman/listinfo/hibernate-dev _______________________________________________ hibernate-dev mailing list hibernate-dev@lists.jboss.org https://lists.jboss.org/mailman/listinfo/hibernate-dev
