We're having trouble with the heroku fork command ( it times out and has other errors ) so we are going down the path of trying to manually create a staging environment.
First thing we wanted to do is create a new database off of a backup of our existing production database. I went and selected "restore" on one of our prod backups and targeted our staging environment. The database is created but has no tables and is only 6.4 mbs. The real size of the backup is 15.7 GB.
