By the way, I searched on here, and just about the only advice I could
find was to upload a .specification file to my vendor gem's directory,
but Heroku doesn't allow me to create a file beginning with a dot, so
I'm not sure how anyone did that before.  I started having this issue
last week, so by now I'm pretty sure it's not just some temporary
fluke on the Heroku platform.
