Starting today, a disk quota of 40MB for code and 40MB for data will be in effect. Code size does not include logs or tmp files, only the size of your code, public dir, and git repo (.git in the root of your app). Data size is the size of your entire database, including indexes. Visit the My Apps -> Settings -> Other page for your app to see how much space it is currently using.
I'll be in touch with you if your app is near or over the code or data usage limit to help you figure out what to do. In the cases I've seen so far it's been an easy fix - usually the culprit is some large static assets or a data.yml commited to revision control. At the moment no automated action will be taken on apps over the limit, it's just an alert. In the near future we will be enforcing it automatically. Naturally these limits are for free accounts only, which during the beta is the only kind of account there is. Paid accounts, when we have them, will be on a pay-by-use system rather than a quota system. If you have an app that you think needs more than the allotted amounts during the beta, contact us and let us know. We can most likely accommodate it. These numbers are subject to change, either up or down, as we continue to get a better feel for what is reasonable for us to support on free accounts. If we need to adjust it down and this affects you, don't worry - we'll give you plenty of warning and help you with the transition. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Heroku" group.
