this is true, especially for software that does not make releases (and maybe offlineimap3 has fallen into that category); but it may be preferable to simply add that one patch to the package. On the material side, I am a bit confused whether this problem has not been solved in the meantime? I have been using offlineimap3 without interruption until this day. Andreas
