Check that the environment variables described in the manual section 'X.509 Certificates' are correctly set in the environment where you run Git: https://guix.gnu.org/manual/en/html_node/X_002e509-Certificates.html This section is linked to from the section "Application Setup", which mostly applies to using Guix on other distros.
