I found that Shift+Alt with grp:alt_shift_toggle does work for me if I
press Shift, then press Alt while holding Shift, and release them. If I
press Alt first, then press Shift while holding Alt, and release them,
something goes wrong and the input in the command prompt gets distorted.
If I press Alt and Shift at the same time, the result is either of the
above.

I tried "showkeys -a", "read -r", and "cat". All showed that the escape
sequence "^[" is prepended to all subsequent keys after pressing Alt+Shift
if Alt being pressed first.

It appears to be a bug somewhere. The console gets stuck as if Alt remains
pressed. The issue persists at least accross Guix System installations on
the same machine.
