Hi, Back in November we ran the Guix User and Contributor survey - the first time we've done this as a community. Well the results are in - check them out!
We had over 900 people take part - which is amazing - thanks to all of you that took the time to fill it out. There are two blog posts that dig into the user-focused parts of the survey: * Part 1: Adopting Guix Covers why people are intrigued by Guix and how they start using it. It answers questions like what level of Linux knowledge do Guix users have? What do they find easy and hard while adoping Guix? And, information on how the Guix community is growing - the survey shows that almost 50% of users have been using it for less than a year. See the post [0] * Part 2: Guix usage Covers users experience with Guix. Which parts of Guix are used? The survey shows that 70% of participants use Guix as a graphical desktop on laptop/workstation hardware. And, roughly a third also deploy it in a server configuration. There's also lots of great info about what users find easy/hard and what they love about Guix! See the post [1] I'd love to get feedback on what people find the most interesting from these two parts. What surprised you? What didn't surprise you, but confirms something you thought? Looking forward to your thoughts!
