However, after a fresh install of Guix the result of `which guix` is still `/usr/local/bin/guix`. I think that might not be an actual problem.
Not as long as it's a symlink to /var/guix/profiles/per-user/$user/current-guix/bin/guix, and you regularly ‘guix pull’ as that user.
