I just found out that my ISP (BSNL -- run by the Indian government and one of the largest ISPs in India) has blocked outgoing connections on port 22 for the entire country because of "malware attacks". Many people are affected. So, I'm hoping this absurdly stupid decision will be reversed soon.
So, I don't think this is a problem with Guix.
