If this is 2 commands in one line - I missed it!!
$ export GNUNET_PREFIX=/usr/local # for example, other locations possible $ 
./configure --prefix=$GNUNET_PREFIX --disable-documentation 
--with-microhttpd=/opt/libmicrohttpd
To late to run again? or start over?
commands should be entered like this?
:~/gnunet_installation/gnunet$ export GNUNET_PREFIX=/usr/local # for example, 
other locations possible

:~/gnunet_installation/gnunet$ ./configure --prefix=$GNUNET_PREFIX 
--disable-documentation --with-microhttpd=/opt/libmicrohttpd
