I wrote a short post about how we're handling this, https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,25625,25625 It's working out fine for our use. The basic idea is to serve multiple configs from the server at different paths and have a file on the client indicating the path to use. I wanted to avoid having to alter .cf files to move code from dev to prod --- which for me is a big potential for error...
