I agree with this. This is not always intuitive with certain promises.
Beginners especially assume that repaired is the agent doing something
on the system and do not think of class setting as a repair. I get
confused by this myself sometimes.  I have resorted to a classes body
that sets all possible state classes. I test with this to see what
happens.
