Unix service management did not exist before 3.3.0 - it was added in this 
release. Windows service management is still available only in Nova.

As Aleksey pointed out, the docs still need some massaging. In reality, 
"disable" (or any of the other actions) can do anything you decide to implement 
in the standard_services bundle (or in the appropriate bundles as designated by 
service_method). In the current release standard_services has not made it yet to 
cfengine_stdlib.cf, but there is a version in examples/unit_services_concept.cf that can 
be used as a starting point.


Diego an Aleksey thanks for the answer. I had already found that example bundle and used that as starting point. I wanted to knew what was possible with 'services' and found the documentation confusing and posted a piece of it as reference. But the mails explain why.
