We upgraded glibc a few days ago and we think this caused cfengine to not start up. I get this error from the init script: Starting cf-execd: /var/cfengine/bin/cf-execd: error while loading shared libraries: /var/cfengine/lib/libpromises.so.1: ELF file OS ABI invalid current glibc rpms: glibc-headers-2.5-65.el5_7.3 glibc-devel-2.5-65.el5_7.3 glibc-2.5-65.el5_7.3 glibc-common-2.5-65.el5_7.3 glibc-devel-2.5-65.el5_7.3 glibc-2.5-65.el5_7.3 We're running: # rpm -qi cfengine-community-3.2.1-1.el6 Name : cfengine-community Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 3.2.1 Vendor: CFEngine AS Release : 1.el6 Build Date: Wed 21 Sep 2011 08:49:42 AM CDT Install Date: Tue 21 Feb 2012 03:08:47 PM CST Build Host: redhat-6-amd64 # uname -a Linux xxxx 2.6.18-274.18.1.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jan 20 15:11:18 EST 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux We're thinking about backleveling glibc or building a test VM. I did remove the 64bit cfengine rpm and install the 32 bit rpm and it starts ok. _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
