Thanks for this complete awnser ;) In the same time i have found the reason and solution in the reference manuel: use "preserve_block". About the solution: - copy dhcpd.conf: no. I prefer to use variable, change the value and the file is "rebuild" with the new value. I'm training because we want to implement CF3 in our compagny with 3000 servers, 100 sysadmins, ... So there will be more than one person editing a file :) Actually i'm traning at home, but i want to learn how to do the things :) - framework: will be next step to my training yes :) - string problem: if you look at my original post i use array for ips and macs as you proposed.
