Greetings; I am gearing up to perform a comparison of the newer monitoring features provided via Nova (Portal and/or Hub). More specifically, I want to emulate a custom solution consisting of a combination of Tripwire, Tilovi/Netcool, and Peregrine. This solution is currently capable detecting file hash deltas, scrapping the local *NIX syslogs, centralizing the aggregate reports, and programmatically searching our ticketing system to perform certain correlation work. results of correlation is used - among other things - to dynamically generate "suppressions" or conversely send a customized alert. . Of course, I do not expect Nova to provided the "glue" which ties all components together as this will be developed in-house. However, I would like to know if the basic functional components for such a proposal are present in the current commercial release and how they might be effectively combined to accomplish my goal.
