Subject: problem with perms => mog(...) and freshly configured LDAP

Hi,

this is a bit difficult to demonstrate, but to us it seems that cf-agent does
not make use of ldap user information in time, at least at our RHEL6 virtual
machines here

We do the following:

1) install packages, configure and start ldap and nslcd
2) do other stuff with perms => mog() statements

The first time we do this, immediately after we installed the virtual machine,
in the first cfengine run, the mog() bodies fail and the permissions are set to
root instead of to the promised user.

The next run is fine though.

Could it be that cfengine does some caching of user information or so?

I'm happy to provide some code for this, but as I said - it's not that easy.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sven
