Aleksey, I agree about subsuming. Most things that I depended on Nagios for in the past have been largely taken up by CFEngine. We still have many double checks, but this is largely for dependencies and because Nagios is more visible. Where Nagios is very valuable to me is that I have it watching a mailbox with a procmail rule. CFEngine emails go here and are translated into passive check output for a Nagios service (AP:CF3:Output) on each host.
