Well based on the version number in the always-up-to-date reference manual, the next planned version appears to be 3.2.0. And I could have sworn I saw some sort of announcement about that somewhere in the past 24 hours, but I've looked everywhere I could think and can't find it now. Perhaps it was just dream of sleep-deprived mind as I too feel a little trapped on 3.1.4.
