I've run into the same problem, and there's a ticket in the bug tracker for it - https://cfengine.com/bugtracker/view.php?id=446 Mark, can you comment on whether there are plans to implement this kind of syntax checking? As the policy I write gets more complex, the more I want for cf-promises to throw errors on undefined vars - both for safety's sake and to facilitate troubleshooting.
