In update.cf on my clients the promise that I use to copy data around, I set
verify = true.

http://www.cfengine.org/manuals/cf3-reference.html#copy_005ffrom-in-files

The reference guide says that there is a resource / performance penalty from
using verify = true.

Synopsis: true/false verify transferred file by hashing after copy (resource
penalty)
This is a highly resource intensive option, not recommended for large file
transfers.

Do you use verify = true in your file transfers? Any possible negative side
effects if I turn this off?

Thanks
Mike
