I strongly urge you not to think in these terms, If running the script twice is so dangerous, you are setting yourself up for disaster no matter what tool you use. One way to make it safe is to delete the script once it has run so that rerunning is not an option. Doing things once only, however, is not a safe and predictable strategy.
