Found my answer!! If you are using HP C compiler and have the proper release, You need to add: -D_HPUX_API_LEVEL=20040821 to your compiler options.

We just introduced some HPUX servers and the hostname is 10 char long. Sendmail is ok but when sent from cfengine, it is truncated to 8 char.
