Hmm, I should also have mentioned that I also tried the Distribute ssh keys from the cookbook (http://www.cfengine.org/manuals/cf3-solutions.html#Distribute-ssh-keys) After I installed it, CFengine (3.0.2) started to show these errors: Scalar variable user contains itself (non-convergent): $(user) Scalar variable user contains itself (non-convergent): $(user) Hence my question in the subject, "is 3.0.2 too old" to use.
