Simon, db files cannot really be meaningfully rotated. They are not text. We 
have now
deprecated this db, since it is little used and has been superceded by Nova's 
more
intelligent data gathering. In newer versions of Cfengine, it is no longer 
used. I suggest
simply deleting it. It is easier to upgrade first though, as deleting the db 
while it is
open causes an error message,
