I don't see this behaviour on our systems. Do you have some data in a promiser-string that changes on each invocation, e.g. like a date. Cfengine tries to eliminate these things from lock names but it is not always easy to detect. If the name of the promise changes on every invocation you might get an explosion in the complexity of the promise-graph. We are planning to add some garbage collection to the locks.
