This will work as of 3.1.0, but do it this way instead (auto-iteration is 
always through a scalar reference to a list):

bundle agent some_bundle {
   vars:
       "bundle_list" slist => some_function_generating_slist(.......);

   methods:
       "any" usebundle => "$(bundle_list)";
}
