Subject: Don't restart service when config file was not modified

Hey,

we are using Cfengine 2 (we will swtich to version 3 someday..) and are using
Cfengine to modify config files, like the Apache or Samba configs. When
modifying the configs, we are also running the shell command /etc/init.d/...
restart.

But when the config files of the applications were not changed, the
applications should not be restarted. Is there any way to detect if the
cf-script changed something and then prevent triggering a restart?

If not, is this possible with Cfengine 3?

Any help is highly appreciated.
