Subject: Questions about the reference manual

I'm having some difficulty with terminology used in section 1 of the reference
manual. I think it would behoove me to grasp section 1 before attempting to
write promises. I've tried to educate myself via google to no avail. I wonder
if someone can describe the following in terms a non-programmer can understand:
Promise bodies
A part of a promise which details and constrains its nature.
I'm having trouble with that definition of promise bodies - it seems extremely
non-specific. What exactly is the "nature" one trying to "detail and constrain"
in a promise body? I would expect a promise body to be procedural, specific to
a sysadmin task, and somewhat linear, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Functions
Built-in parameterized rvalues.
What is a "parameterized rvalue?"
Classes
Cfengine's boolean classifiers that describe context.
What is a "boolean classifier", and how does it describe "context?"
