You'd rather pass a list there, i.e.
copy_from => secure_cp("$(g.repo)/bond_studio/tmpwatch","@(g.phost)")
Lists can't be accessed indirectly, so you might need to make a local copy
first, like follows:
vars:
"servers" slist => { @(g.phost) };
