Seems like a firewall issue. See if you can connect from your ubuntu box to the windows server using telnet 192.168.2.104 5308. The response will indicate whether if the server simple rejects the call because it has no telnet server running, or because of the fact it is dropped by a firewall. Also, try looking at the verbose cf-serverd output to see for any information on why connection is not possible.
