Perhaps, here conclusions may go unclear. For example, it would be reasonable to send KILL only if process exists after TERM with certain delay (2 seconds? too much? not enough?). I don't know how to implement this logic better. By now, I've left only KILL in place since it seems not to be very harmful in case of snmpd. For some other daemons this approach might go wrong.
