Actually, you're absolutely right -- and the simple answer is we don't. 
Actually the name "semantic cmdb" is not a great explanation of what we are 
doing. Classic CMDBs are brute force approaches to data classification that are 
very expensive and not ver scalable. We are actually talking about something 
more modern in conception that scales and self-heals and helps you to think. 

I don't want to say any more at this stage. Suffice it to say that it will be 
something special and state of the art. But you are right, CMDBs are not the 
way forward, they are just a plaster cast on a sore. Stay tuned!
