Forum: Cfengine Help Subject: Re: Verifying Packages with Cf3 Author: Authority Link to topic: https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,17008,17026#msg-17026
I would love to try the latest svn sources, but I can't seem to get them to build on CentOS 5. I tried using the string of commands Nicholas Charles suggested when Justin Lloyd encountered the same problem back in December (thread "Dependency problems building from SVN"), but these steps don't work for me. Unless you've got some other magic I can do to be able to build (other than adding a bunch of junk to /usr/local as thats going to be hard for me to put into an RPM spec file), I guess I'll just have to wait for the 3.0.5 tarball and hope I can build that. (I could build the 3.0.4 tarball but not the 3.0.4 tagged sources in svn. Whatever.) But I'm not really sure you're grasping what I'm trying to do. Setting the package_verify_command to true or false would always yield one answer or the other, which is not particularly useful. I might as well not I *do* want to verify the presence of a package, i.e. "rpm -q". I don't want to the the Tripwire-ish verification that files haven't changed that "rpm -V" does. _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
