  I ran into this a couple of days ago.

  The HTTP protocol requires a blank line at the end of the request.

  Here is an example using Cfengine 2 syntax:

  ReadTCP(www.google.com,80,"GET /cfengine_probe HTTP/1.0${n}${n}",1024)
