If you mean a cfservd process - then it can benefit from multiCPU
threading. All machines have enough RAM these days. A fast disk is a
good idea.
The operating system might play a bigger role than the machine. Check
out OSes that are good at mulitthreading (e.g. solaris on sparc not
ix86, certain linuxes are better than others and they seem to be
faster than the BSDs...etc )
