Chris has been maintaining the FHIR API, so I'm positive he'll be happy to see the porting to Python3 ! Good thing is that the development is parallel to the HMIS Server, so we can work on it without the pressure of the HMIS release date (in less than 2 weeks :) ). Looking forward to test the updates !
