Summary: Allow to use storage for pharmacy Project: GNU Health Submitted by: cedk Submitted on: Wed 20 Apr 2016 08:41:03 AM CEST Category: Functionality Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: None Status: Ready For Test Privacy: Public Assigned to: cedk Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: None Module: health_stock _______________________________________________________ Details: Currently, it is only possible to use warehouse but this force to create many warehouse if the hospital have many pharmacies. And also it force to use the default storage location from the warehouse as stock location for the pharmacy. In the case of many pharmacy, the hospital may want to manage all its stock under a single warehouse because they probably have a single purchase department. So having many warehouses complicate the task because a lot of order point will need to be created while this could be simply managed under a single warehouse. For the second case, as there is no assignation process, this force to have the picked location of the pharmacy as the default storage. This means that reception of the products go directly in the pharmacy storage. In many cases, this is not something people wants. They want to have a big long term storage where the reception of the product is done and just fill the small storage of the pharmacy. The solution is to use a location on the pharmacy instead of a warehouse. This will brings much more flexibility without removing any feature as the locations of different pharmacies could be under different warehouse (or a single one (new feature)). According to previous discussion, Luis wants to keep the possibility to use the warehouse as pharmacy location even if it doesn't provide any special features. So here is a patch that implements this solution. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 20 Apr 2016 08:41:03 AM CEST Name: health_stock.patch Size: 2kB By: cedk <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=36968> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?47739> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
