Chang Zong created HDFS-11589: --------------------------------- Summary: Unable to remove dead node after datanode decommission Key: HDFS-11589 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-11589 Project: Hadoop HDFS Issue Type: Improvement Affects Versions: 2.4.0 Reporter: Chang Zong
After successfully decommissioned a datanode, the state of that node in web ui(http://<NameNode_FQDN>:50070) is changed to "decommissioned". Then I stopped the datanode service in that host and the state is changed to "Dead", and the number of last contact keeps increasing. I tried to remove the hostname from the dfs.exclude and run "hdfs dfsadmin -refreshNodes" again, but that dead node is still there. Any way to solve that problem without restarting the whole cluster? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.15#6346) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: hdfs-dev-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: hdfs-dev-h...@hadoop.apache.org
